An Amalfi Coast Elopement: Alexis & Blake’s Two-Day Celebration of Love in Furore, Ravello, and Positano

Some love stories are meant to be told with the sea breeze in your hair, champagne in hand, and the sun setting behind pastel cliffs. Alexis and Blake’s Amalfi Coast elopement was exactly that—a heart-filled, two-day celebration that felt like stepping into a dream. Every moment was intentional, intimate, and overflowing with joy.

If you’re dreaming about how to elope in Amalfi Coast, keep reading—this is the story (and experience!) that might just inspire your own.

Day One: A Sunset Adventure Along the Amalfi Coast by Boat

Before the vows, happy tears, and heartfelt toasts, Alexis and Blake kicked off their elopement with a sunset adventure session on a private luxury boat—a perfect prelude to their intimate wedding in Italy.

We set sail from Positano, cruising along the glittering coastline all the way to the dramatic cliffs of Fiordo di Furore, one of the most iconic views in southern Italy. As we passed lemon groves, hillside villages, and secret sea caves, the boat’s captain shared stories about the coast and poured champagne for a mid-journey toast.

With golden light bouncing off the Tyrrhenian Sea and the wind in their hair, Alexis and Blake watched the sun melt behind the cliffs of Positano. This magical evening perfectly set the tone for their Amalfi Coast elopement experience—equal parts adventure, elegance, and connection.

Day Two: The Elopement Day in Furore, Italy

The next morning began slowly and sweetly at a romantic Italian villa in Furore—a peaceful cliffside village nestled between Amalfi and Praiano, often missed by tourists but perfect for a quiet, meaningful elopement day.

Getting Ready in the Villa

As sunlight poured through open balcony doors, Alexis got ready with the help of her sister-in-law and mother. Her mom handed her a handwritten letter and her grandmother’s ring—her “something borrowed” that felt deeply significant.

Before seeing Blake, Alexis shared an emotional first look with her father and brother, surrounded by the sounds of the sea below and birdsong echoing from the cliffs.

Ceremony on the Terrace Overlooking the Sea

Their ceremony took place on a private terrace overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, with loved ones gathered in soft silence as they exchanged vows. The view was unreal—sweeping coastlines, the scent of salt air, and a gentle breeze carrying their words into the hills.

Amalfi Coast Elopement Brunch & Heartfelt Moments

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed an espresso and cocktail hour while private chefs prepared a celebratory Italian brunch on the terrace. The spread included fresh pastries, a wide selection of traditional dishes, custom omelets, and prosecco.

Laughter filled the air as everyone sat together—chatting, savoring, and soaking up the moment.

Then came the dances—starting with a romantic first dance, followed by a teary father-daughter moment and a sweet mother-son dance. These were the moments that made the day so memorable.

And the cake? Still dreaming of it. It was hands-down the best wedding cake in Amalfi I’ve ever tasted—soft, flavorful, and absolutely stunning.

Villa Cimbrone Elopement Portraits in Ravello & Positano Sunset Finale

In the late afternoon, we traveled up to the enchanting town of Ravello for portraits in the Villa Cimbrone gardens. This iconic venue is a favorite for couples planning an Amalfi Coast elopement, with its medieval pathways, sea-view terraces, and fairytale gardens.

Alexis and Blake explored the grounds hand in hand, dancing beneath cypress trees, walking through castle arches, and soaking in the panoramic views from the Terrazza dell’Infinito—a spot that lives up to its name.

That evening, they headed back to Positano for a romantic dinner at Rada, a cliffside restaurant carved into the rocks right above the sea. As the stars began to twinkle and Positano lit up behind them, we captured lantern-lit portraits to close the night.

Grateful Beyond Words

Alexis and Blake—thank you for trusting me to tell your love story. Alexis, you’ve become more than a bride—you’re a friend. Planning this journey together was such a joy.

alexis & blake,
italy multi-day elopement

Beyond her incredible work, she is truly a wonderful human being inside and out. What made the experience even more special was how she made every step of the planning feel custom and tailored just for us as a couple. She is thoughtful and intentional—not only with what she captures through her lens but also behind the scenes in ways you might not even realize.  On top of it all, Sheryl goes above and beyond. She is professional, reliable, and trustworthy—qualities that made us feel completely confident and at ease every step of the way. Her kindness, professionalism, and genuine care made the whole journey effortless and joyful. We are grateful for the beautiful memories she captured. These photos are not just pictures—they’re a timeless treasure we will cherish forever.

From our first call, I could feel Sheryl’s excitement and passion for what she did. As a type A girly, I loved how organized and detailed Sheryl was. From her intake form to our Zoom calls to texts and emails back-and-forth, I knew Sheryl would carry out our day exactly how we envisioned it. And she did just that! We are over the moon at how our photos turned out. Sheryl was our biggest hype man, kept us (mainly me) calm and collected when things didn’t pan out the way we expected, and weathered every storm with grace.  She captured our day perfectly.

From planning out our adventures, and even scouting the day before at each location, she helped with everything. She was always in constant communication from the first day we reached out to her, till the day that our gallery was sent to us. Our photos truly captured the pure bliss and love that we felt in each moment, and we will cherish them forever. We were so comfortable with traveling with Sheryl throughout our multi-day elopement, and had so much fun as well! We truly don't know what magic Sheryl has in her, as well as those cameras of hers, but every picture was so magically beautiful, and we love her so much (I mean, she even slept in an igloo for us, how could we not?!).
